Why Naps Are Important?

Why Are Naps Important?

Are you ready to give up on nap time for your toddler? They are good at wearing us down with tears and tantrums. Sleep is a big part of a child's good health. For toddlers to get enough of it, most need some daytime sleep. The process in my award winning children’s book has worked for 3 generations in my family…mostly because it’s a fun way to get little ones to nap! Try it…you will love it! In case you didn’t know check out why our little ones need a nap time in their day!

Let's Talk About Naps:

They provide much-needed downtime that aids the important physical and mental development that happens in early childhood. Not having a nap may make it harder for them to fall asleep at night.

Naps help keep little ones from becoming overtired, which can affect their moods. (which I am sure you notice in the late afternoon)

We parents also a break during the day for time to tackle household chores

Did you know...
Toddlers (1 to 3 years): Toddlers need 12–14 hours of sleep, including an afternoon nap of 1–3 hours.

Young toddlers might still be taking two naps, but naps should not be too close to bedtime, as they may make it harder for toddlers to fall asleep at night.

Preschoolers (3 to 5 years): Preschoolers average about 11–12 hours at night, plus an afternoon nap. Most give up this nap by 5 years of age.
